site provided as is, by Siva Phimister (SharePoint Web Developer at Aberdeen
College). I have been working with Microsoft technologies for over 10 years since completing Computing at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Currently working with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 having worked with SharePoint 2007 since the TR2 beta version release in 2006 and having used SharePoint 2003 previously.
My current focus is on SharePoint workflow, Forms Services with InfoPath 2007, Reporting Centre with Excel Services utilising KPIs and dashboards, surveys, site customisation, Business Data Catalogs and Microsoft Business Intelligence with SQL Server 2005 and PerformancePoint Server 2007.
Microsoft SharePoint Services allows teams to create Web sites for information
sharing and document collaboration, benefits that help increase individual
and team productivity. Microsoft SharePoint Services also serves as a platform
for application development.
Microsoft SharePoint Services includes such IT resources as portals,
team workspaces, e-mail, presence awareness, and Web-based conferencing,
Microsoft SharePoint Services enables users to locate distributed information
quickly and efficiently, as well as connect to and work with others more
productively.
